Dubai, the world's cleanest city for the fifth year running

Dubai has been named the world's cleanest city for the fifth year running, according to the Global Power Cities Index (GPCI) published by the Mori Memorial Foundation in Japan. This distinction underlines the emirate's ongoing commitment to cleanliness, modernity and exceptional quality of life.

Rigorous organization for cleanliness

Dubai Municipality attributes this success to the hard work of 3,200 engineers and supervisors who keep the city clean on a daily basis. With 855 vehicles deployed, over 2,400 km of main roads, 1,419 km² of investment areas and 33.4 km of canals are cleaned every day. This meticulous organization enables Dubai to maintain high standards of cleanliness despite constant population growth.

Exemplary citizen satisfaction

The Power Cities Global Index revealed 100% satisfaction among respondents with the cleanliness of their city. This exceptional rate reflects not only the efficiency of municipal services, but also the awareness and active participation of residents in maintaining a clean environment.

Parallel ecological initiatives

Last November, the Dubai Municipality announced that it had planted over 2.5 million flowers and plants in the emirate. This initiative aims to beautify the city while contributing to biodiversity and air quality.
