Dubai Fountain closes for renovation on April 19, 2025

Dubai Fountain

Located at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain is one of Dubai's most emblematic attractions. Every day, thousands of visitors flock to admire its water jets choreographed to the rhythm of music. However, this famous fountain is about to take an extended break for renovation work.

Early closure to modernize attraction

Originally scheduled for May 2025, the closure of the Dubai Fountain has been brought forward to April 19, 2025. This decision was taken by property developer Emaar, in charge of managing the fountain, in order to carry out maintenance and modernization work. For five months, there will be no show, leaving visitors waiting for an improved version of the attraction.

Technological improvements planned

Renovation work is aimed at integrating more advanced technologies to offer spectators an even more impressive experience. Planned improvements include perfecting the choreography of the water jets, enhancing the sound system and improving the lighting. These upgrades will enable the Dubai Fountain to maintain its reputation as the world's tallest water show, capable of projecting up to 22,000 gallons of water 140 meters into the air from the Burj Lake.

Last performances before the break

At present, Dubai Fountain performances take place every 30 minutes between 6pm and 11pm, every day. Visitors are therefore invited to enjoy the last performances before the Fountain closes on April 19, 2025. This transition period is an opportunity to rediscover this iconic show before its transformation.

A return in September 2025

The reopening of the Dubai Fountain is scheduled for September 2025, after five months of intensive work. Visitors will then be able to discover a modernized version of this attraction, with even more spectacular and immersive performances. The renovation is part of Dubai's drive to keep its tourism infrastructure at the cutting edge of technology and innovation.

In conclusion, the temporary closure of the Dubai Fountain marks an important step in the evolution of this iconic attraction. The renovation work will provide a renewed experience for visitors, consolidating Dubai's position as a leading tourist destination.
